Local 127
Welcome to Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America (SPFPA), Local 127, a subsidiary to the International Union SPFPA, the oldest, largest and fastest growing security, police union in the United States. Local 127 has been in existence since 1956 and manages eight separate contracts in Brevard and Volusia Counties with the following government contractors: Caelum Research, Delaware North Park Services, Loomis Fargo, Pinkerton Government Services, Space Gateway Support and Yang Enterprises.
Our 450+ members provide security services for the Air Force, Navy and NASA at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Kennedy Space Center, and Patrick Air Force Base. Our office is located in Merritt Island, Florida, and is one of over 200 Local Unions with SPFPA located throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Our Mission
Vision: To be recognized by our members, companies and other unions as the leading labor organization specializing in the representation of Security, Police and Fire Professionals.
Goal: To provide improved, consistent service to our members by dedicating ourselves to the steps necessary to move our Local forward and to maintain a level of excellence.
Mission: To better serve our members through improved communication, while maintaining a strong financial base and staying committed to the overall needs of our members and their families and to protect and promote their interest by bargaining collectively with their employers to secure better working conditions.
